Welcome to the westernmost region of the Czech Republic.
The Karlovy Vary Region is famous for its spa industry. There are 5 spa resorts in the region. The most famous place and the largest Czech spa is Karlovy Vary, which together with Frantiskovy Lazne and Marianske Lazne form the so-called West Bohemian Spa Triangle. This triangle, inscribed on the prestigious UNESCO cultural heritage list, is complemented by the world´s first radon spa - Jachymov and a small spa town on the border of the Slavkov Forest - Lazne Kynzvart. Another important tourist destination in the region is the historic town of Cheb. In the Karlovy Vary Region you can also visit a large number of natural attractions or cultural monuments. Among the cultural monuments, you cannot miss the Loket Castle, which has been one of the most visited monuments in the Karlovy Vary Region for years, the castle and chateau in Becov nad Teplou guarding the treasure of the Reliquary of St. Maurus, Premonstratensian monastery in Tepla, Kynzvart chateau, etc. Among the natural attractions I would like to mention e.g. Komorni hurka - the youngest volcano in Central Europe, the Soos National Nature Reserve and practically the whole area of the Slavkovsky Forest. If you ever come to our region, you will certainly have something to discover and admire :-).
